Purchased the SkyRC BD380 specifically to improve how I manage and maintain my LiPo packs, especially for larger 6S batteries used in series setups.
The main reason for choosing this unit was the true high-power discharge capability (380W / 40A). Most chargers are extremely slow when discharging, which makes it tedious to bring packs down to proper storage voltage. This unit solves that problem efficiently and safely.

I consider SkyRC the top tier when it comes to dedicated LiPo dischargers. The latest SkyRC BD380+ 380W 40A Battery Discharger & Analyzer is an improvement over the previous SkyRC BD380 model. The "+" version increases the max voltage from 30V (7S LiPo) to 40V (9S LiPo), so it allows me to discharge my 8S LiPos whereas the previous non "+" BD380 was not able to do so. The accuracy of the voltage readings compare superbly well with my expensive FLUKE 87V multimeter (see picture).

Looked forward to a battery discharge ANALYZER, but my resistor pack works as well. Thought the data capture and charting would be good, but it turns out I had to be a SKYRC charger to connect the discharger to the PC app. So spent more money and after hookup, found that the only thing it did was to record the discharge curveβ¦ no βanalysisβ. Looks pretty, but my three year old iCharger does this with the Junsi app.
