This is the Junsi iCharger 308DUO DC Battery Charger. The 308DUO uses advanced high current and high-performance synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter technology to deliver 800W per channel and up to 1300W of total charging power in Synchronous Mode, combined with a maximum charge/discharge current of up to 30A per channel and two channels up to 50A in Synchronous Mode! Each channel supports 8s Lithium and NiZn batteries, with maximum 1.2A balance current using a unique "internal resistance correction" balance calculation and can measure not only the internal resistance of the battery pack, but also measure the internal resistance of each cell within the lithium battery. Additionally, the 308DUO also supports 1-20 cell NiMH/NiCd batteries and 1-15 cell Pb batteries.

A 2.8-inch LCD screen provides rich information including current, voltage, power, capacity, internal resistance, control status, time-consuming, temperature and more, and a 1A/5V USB charging port makes it convenient for the user to charge mobile phones and other portable USB devices. The 308DUO can save 64 pre-sets with SD Card data support, and also supports upgrading the hardware program through a USB port or SD card. The iCharger also supports “Logview” software and can display, plot and analyze the charge and discharge data of the battery.

Other features include anti-sparking protection, intelligent fan control, internal temperature protection, self-discharge, regenerative to input discharge, lithium battery extra expanding discharge, reverse polarity protection (input or output), input voltage/current, battery temperature, charging capacity, overrun time and maximum power protection functions to help keep your equipment safe.

Features:

  • 800W of charging power per channel, 1300W when both channels are combined.
  • Maximum charge/discharge current of up to 30A per channel, and two channels in Synchronous Mode up to 50A!
  • Each channel supports 8s Lithium and NiZn batteries, 1-20s NiMH/NiCd batteries and 1-15s Pb batteries
  • Unique "internal resistance correction" balance calculation
  • 2.8-inch LCD screen displays current, voltage, power, capacity, internal resistance, control status, time-consuming, temperature and more
  • 64 parameters sets can be saved
  • Supports data import/export to SD card
  • 1A/5V USB charging port to charge mobile phones and other portable USB devices
  • Anti-sparking protection
  • Intelligent fan control
  • Internal temperature protection
  • Multi-discharge: self-discharge, regenerative to input discharge, and lithium battery extra expanding discharge
  • Measures internal resistance of a lithium battery pack, but also each cell within the lithium battery
  • Reverse polarity (input or output), input voltage/current, battery temperature, charging capacity, overrun time and maximum power protection functions
  • Supports upgrading the hardware program by USB port or SD card.
  • Supports “Logview” software and can display, plot and analyze the charge and discharge data.

Great charger!

Lots of options you can configure, and works great with a resistor back I built to use with it.

308 DUO

This charger Is very compact in size but has plenty of power to get the job done. I run two of these little chargers off a Junsi S1200 power supply and have no problem keeping my 6S 5000s, and 12S in synchronous mode, charged up and flying. Screen displays all cells without having to scroll. Transferred all my presets from my first charger via SD card, so setup was a breeze. I definitely recommend this charger.

Works great, but a bit dated for 2021

I've own three of these iCharger 308 Duos since they were released in 2013. I believe the iCharger Duo series chargers introduced this fancy tilting color display to the hobby. There are several other chargers now with color displays, but none of them tilt like this one and the rest of the iCharger Duo series. I have never had any major issues with these chargers over the past 8 years that I've owned them. They have been very reliable. I sold one of the three iCharger 308 Duos, as I was not using it, so I am down to two. After 8 years of ownership, I decided to check on voltage calibration with a Fluke 87V digital multimeter whose calibration was tested against a voltage PentaRef. The individual cell voltages where off by as much (or as little) as ±0.007V on both units I still own, which I find to be very acceptable. I still adjusted the voltage calibration, but I cannot say it was absolutely necessary to do so.

I like how these chargers allow users to set presets. Setting presets is a bit cumbersome and time consuming as it uses a scroll wheel. However, for me that I own more than one charger, I was able to save all the presets of one charger into a microSD card, and load them onto the other charger, which saved me a lot of time and effort.

However, as good and reliable as they are, they are starting to show their age. There is no WiFi or BT connectivity. There is no phone/tablet application. The charger does not save individual battery data. There is not safety warning to alert the user if the user inadvertently mismatches the charging wires from one channel with the balance wires from the other channel.

I recommend this charger, but I recognize it is dated.

iCharger 308Duo

I am looking forward to using this charger. Being familiar with Nitro and Gasser only, my friends recommended this charger for my first and future 12s 5000 mah model setup. They had nothing but praise for the iCharger 308Duo.

There are many different choices for chargers. The iCharger 308 DUO is the best dang charger out there. It will charge and balance all of your batteries with no issues, if you plug something up wrong it will let you know, and it charges all the way to 8S lipos at 30 amps! I fly 6S lipos and I have never kicked it up that high. The highest I got was 10 amps per channel 20 amps total... it just kept on charging! I love this charger and so will you!
