FEATURES
FASSTEST SYSTEM:
The 16IZ transmitter adopted the bidirectional communication system “FASSTest”. Data from the receiver can be checked in your transmitter. FASSTest is a maximum 18 channels (linear 16 channels + switch 2 channels) 2.4 GHz dedicated system.
S.BUS2 SYSTEM:
By using the S.Bus2 system multiple servos, gyros and telemetry sensors are easily installed with a minimum amount of cables.
USB SIMULATOR CONTROL:
The T16IZ offers USB C compatibility for simulator control when used with Windows OS Joystick function.
COLOR TOUCH SCREEN LCD:
T16IZ has an updated HVGA 4.3 inch, full-color backlit LCD touch screen. The screen is transflective which enables both indoor and outdoor visibility.
MULTI HOLDER:
T16IZ Offers Multi holder near the antenna/charging port. It allows for accessories to be mounted using an M3 style screw.
Voice Telemetry:
The T16IZ allows for audible telemetry data to be read aloud for easy understanding of crucial parameters while flying.
SECURE DATA (SD CARD):
Model data, music files, voice files, and picture files can be stored on optional microSD card. The microSD card is also used when updating the software/features of the T16IZ.
HIGH CAPACITY LITHIUM POLYMER BATTERY (2000 MAH):
The high capacity 2S Lithium Polymer battery gives you extended flight time.
EDITING:
The touch panel and two enter keys allows you to edit your model in the manner that is easiest for you.
FUNCTIONS:
The internal processor the response time. Most of the mixing functions are operated by curves which give you very precise settings.
STICK:
Each stick offers our reliable single ball bearing for each axis. With our high cycle potentiometer this allows for finer and more precise operation.
VIBRATION FUNCTION:
Low voltage and other alarms are generated by a vibration motor. Alarms or vibrations to be used can be selected by the owner.
R7108SB:
The system comes with the R7108SB S.Bus2 Dual Antenna Diversity receiver featuring bi-directional communication.

Futaba has been the top tier of TX for years.16IZ has all the function’s desired with smooth interface to tune your RC craft to optimize performance mechanically and electronically. The almost limitless adjustability can be high learning curve but worth it in the end.
This radio is great. Easy to use and the touch screen display is an improvement from the 16SZ. I have the 14SG also, bound all of my OMP Heli’s to the 16IZ and noticed that on the 16IZ the response of the Heli’s are somewhat more precise, on the 14SG felt like it’s a bit snappier. Both radios are excellent.

This transmitter is every thing I expected and more. I just got back into the hobby of heli flight after being away for more than 15 years. The technology has come a long way. This radio is easy to program and setup.
The 16IZ is still working great, the only issue is with the markings for the switches, its starting to rub off the surface. I found that this is a known issue so it's really disappointing since it's wearing out pretty quickly. So minus two star for the rating. I've had a Futaba 14sg for 6 years and the labels on the switches are still like new. Bad. I need a solution

I just moved up from my T14SGs to the 16IZ. The 16IZ is so much faster to program and far easier to see on sunny days at the field. I can’t believe I agonized over the purchase. I should have purchased it months ago! Combine that with Helidirect’s unbelievably fast shipping and great customer service - its a win from every angle.
Great transmitter. I've always had Futaba radios in the past and recently got back into flying helis with the OMP M1. So I started a few months ago with a Radiomaster TX16S which has a lot of features and is a good value, but I decided I was ready to upgrade and get back into a Futaba transmitter. When I found out the 16IZ was in stock at Helidirect I purchased it right away. Received it quickly and has been working great. Easy to program, the gimbals are very precise, and the slim transmitter body feels great. The touch screen is bright and easy to read in outdoor sunlight. Only thing that I'm not a fan of is the battery charging port at the bottom, it's just a hole that you plug in directly to the lipo battery. Also the antenna seems a little flimsy but I don't fly very far so I leave the antenna down. Overall I think it's a great radio.
